Cum Muzzle Crack Whore's latest offering is a worthy continuation from the first record. This time round we have a more trippy journey and recreational drugs are definitely recommended. The first half continues from where the first album left off but as the album develops, it wanders into somewhere new.
Fucking on coke is awesome but dipping your tip end in coke and stuffing it up your partner is taking it that step further. That's what this album feels like, its a jump into a wormhole, a trippy journey but not with those hippy bits where you fucking 'find yourself' or whatever that is.
The first album was a straight up party album but this is
an album to fuck to, this time it's personal. The sound is synth, electropop
with a touch of 80's nostalgia but even though it shows influence from things gone before,
it only uses them as building blocks to greater places. The guest vocalist from
the debut album, Hilary Cunton, is used again on standout track 'it's raining
ecstasy'. The vocal track is slightly offset giving it a sharper edge.
The strength of this work is the change in pace. As the album progresses, there are some tasty instrumentals to give it some variety without sacrificing continuity. Act's like the Beastie Boys used to use breaks, skits and instrumentals to keep their listeners hooked in but the only problem was, they were fucking shit, this however is totally awesome.
