Well this is album number two and it came in a lot quicker than the first. What we can tell you is that this masterpiece really shows what a architect of sound Smilecythe is. The dynamics are improved and the songs are more accessible without  sacrificing the uncompromising brutality of what he makes.

The 'core' scene is often a sewer of white noise and fucked up samples. Smilecythe however is somehow able to throw in a pile of sound and make it work. This could be because he doesn't use material ripped from other songs and sources, yes what you are hearing here is made from scratch, even the vocal tracks are him.

This time we have 5 tracks like an EP but it doesn't feel like a filler or a stopgap to the next real album. What hits you immediately on pressing play is the clarity of the sound. A small pair of computer speakers won't do these songs justice, you are going to have to put this through some kind of amplifier to really let it boot your face in.

The intro kicks things off and then the album comes in with some surprises. The dynamics on 'Under Eternal Glower' track two, come as quite a shock. I'm not going to spoil the treat but when you hear the track it will make you sit up. The sounds are up and down throughout but seem to know exactly when to peak and also when to back off without being predictable. Diversity is the album's strongest point and the pretenders should take notes, 60 minutes of white noise doesn't make your sounds brutal but rather the dark twists and turns of 'Verikuherrus' are what takes a listener to a state of awestruck.

This is a very special album, it's been made from blood and sweat.
